Popular local artists including EDSUN and Josh Island joined international hitmakers at Rockhal this week, vying to create potential entries for Eurovision 2026.
From Friday to Tuesday, Rockhal hosted its second Eurovision Song Writing Camp, bringing together 45 selected music professionals from across Europe – narrowed down from 86 applicants. Over five intensive days, participants wrote, rehearsed, and produced at least six songs daily, with each track completed within a 24-hour timeframe.
Among the 26 local participants were artists, songwriters, and producers such as Adriano Selva, EDSUN, Luzac, OKE, Josh Island, and Irem Sosay. Some artists registered for multiple days, giving them multiple entries to potentially submit for the Luxembourg Song Contest.
Collaborations unfolded across seven Rocklab studios, with groups of three to four people working on each song. To elevate the creative process, 19 international guests joined the camp – including seasoned Eurovision contributors like Linda Dale (co-writer of Switzerland's 2024 winning entry "The Code" by Nemo) and Thomas Stengaard (composer of the UK's 2025 entry and Denmark's 2013 winner "Only Teardrops").
While all songs created during the camp remain confidential for now, some may eventually be released – and could even feature in the Luxembourg Song Contest 2026.
The camp concluded just as Luxembourg's participation in Eurovision 2026, to be held in Austria, was officially confirmed on Tuesday morning.
