Legendary post-punk band The The will make their long-awaited Luxembourg debut at den Atelier on 25 June as part of their Ensouled World Tour – and Today Radio is giving away tickets to celebrate.
Legendary post-punk outfit The The are returning to the stage this summer with a much-anticipated European tour and they will be performing in Luxembourg for the very first time. The band, led by singer and songwriter Matt Johnson, will play at den Atelier on Tuesday 25 June as part of their Ensouled World Tour.
The tour comes on the heels of their first full-length album of original songs in 25 years. Titled Ensoulment, the record is a deeply personal and richly produced collection that has been praised for its warmth and emotional weight. Speaking to Today Radio ahead of the tour, Johnson described the album as a response to the upheaval of recent years.
"The last few years, especially going through the pandemic, sharpened things", he said. "It added a certain urgency."
The album was recorded largely live at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios and features longtime collaborators, including bassist James Eller, keyboardist DC Collard, drummer Earl Harvin, and guitarist Barry Cadogan. "They are brilliant musicians who really care about their sound", said Johnson. "Each of them is obsessive about what they do in a good way."
