Tonight's Artist Hour celebrates the release of Lucius' brand new self titled album with a full hour dedicated to the band's vibrant and emotionally rich catalogue.
Released last Friday through Wildewoman Music and Fantasy Records and produced by band member Dan Molad this marks the fifth studio album from the acclaimed indie pop group.
At the heart of Lucius are singers and songwriters Holly Laessig and Jess Wolfe whose unmistakable harmonies and mirrored presence have defined the band’s sound since the beginning. Their voices blend with a rare synchronicity driving home the personal themes of identity growth and connection that are woven throughout this latest record.
The new album was recorded in Los Angeles at Altamira Sound and Molad’s home studio Sounds Like a Fire. In a statement accompanying its release the band described the songs as raw and honest reflecting on love life family and change. "This album is self titled because it's our story who we are now and how we got here. Welcome to our living room."
With features from Madison Cunningham, Ethan Gruska, Taylor Goldsmith, and Adam Granduciel, Lucius continue to explore and expand their sonic universe while staying true to the emotional core that's made them one of the most captivating acts in indie music.
Tune in tonight at 8pm on Today Radio for an uninterrupted hour of music from Lucius. The Artist Hour airs every Tuesday and Thursday at 8pm spotlighting exceptional artists from across the musical spectrum.
