On Wednesday, Spotify users across the globe had to deal with the the music platform being down.
Around 20,000 people reported that Spotify was not working to downdetector, an online platform tracker. This occured from 14.30pm on Wednesday.
Although Spotify told the BBC that the issue had been addressed, thousands more complained. The app has over 675 million users globally.
They addressed the issue on X, claiming they are "checking it out".
The outage affected multiple Spotify platforms, including the web player, desktop app, and iOS app. Some users reported being able to play only previously saved music, while others couldn't access the service at all. As of now, Spotify has not provided a detailed explanation for the cause of the disruption.
The outage has now been resolved.
