Drive Time with Ethan Carey is known for unearthing the voices shaping Luxembourg's diverse musical identity, and when Hembadoon stopped by the studio recently, she delivered a performance packed with energy, insight, and originality.

Backed by her band live in studio, Hembadoon performed her standout tracks New Money and Lady, offering a taste of her signature blend of Afro-soul and empowered storytelling. She also took on the Fast Track Challenge, writing and performing a brand-new track titled Mastermind in just 14 minutes, setting a show record and stunning everyone listening.

Originally from Jos, Nigeria, Hembadoon Morenike Peter-Thomas began her career in 2002 as part of the gospel group Cyrus and later led the all-female Sunrise Band, which earned national attention. Her debut single Odo Aye hit No. 1 on northern Nigerian radio and was featured on the BBC drama Wetin Dey.

After spending over a decade working behind the scenes in A&R for major Afrobeat acts like Burna Boy, she relaunched her music career in 2021 with a bold new creative identity, LADY, a platform combining music, live showcases, and merchandise. Since then, she's performed across the globe in cities like Rotterdam, Accra, and Montreal, and now calls Luxembourg home.
