The official winners of this year's Screaming Fields competition have been announced!
Screaming Fields is an annual live music competition open to young bands and musicians from Luxembourg, organised by Rocklab. The goal of the festival is to support and promote local music talent and help them develop their skills and reach a wider audience. As such, it's not 'just' a festival and competition, but also offers musicians the opportunity to participate in a series of workshops ranging from vocal training to communications and social network strategies.
The final live sets were played in Rockhal Club yesterday (Saturday 14 July), and Screaming Fields have now announced the winners of this year's many prizes.
Overall winner of Screaming Fields Song Contest: Ema, a young artists who according to the official press release "convinced the jury with subtle lyrics and a careful composition rendering a delicate interpretation of the contest's topic." Her prize includes the opportunity to having her tracked produced at Rockhalstudio, as well as production of a music video.
Other prizes and winners were:
Adrian with "chimney sweeper," who won the €500 SACEM Luxembourg prize for best composition.
Tyra who won the €500 ING Luxembourg prize for best promotional campaign.
C'est Karma who won the Ville de Dudlelange prize for best live performance, and will therefore have the opportunity to perform at the Fête de la Musique Dudelange 2019 with support from Rocklab.
Adrian also won the Coup de Coeur prize, which means that he is granted access to a follow-up program with the Rocklab team as well as access to their recording facilities and other work spaces.
