Today Radio is giving you the chance to catch one of the UK’s most exciting new artists live in Luxembourg. TTSSFU the project of Manchester’s Tasmin Nicole Stephens will bring their dreamy, high-energy shoegaze sound to Rotondes on Monday 4 November, with local favourites April Fish opening the night.
TTSSFU have been quietly building a reputation as one of the most intriguing DIY voices in the UK scene. Working entirely from their bedroom using GarageBand, Stephens crafts lush, expansive soundscapes that balance the hazy melancholy of The Cure with the urgency of The Strokes and The Drums.
Their latest EP, Me, Jed and Andy, released earlier this year on Fear of Missing Out Records, dives into themes of love, disappointment and artistic obsession, inspired in part by the relationship between Jed Johnson and Andy Warhol.
It’s shoegaze with a pulse and a punch – and this show promises to be one of the standout live moments of the season.
