Luxembourgish sprinter Patrizia van der Weken has secured a place in the 60m semi-finals at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Apeldoorn, Netherlands. She won her heat on Sunday afternoon with a time of 7.11 seconds, advancing directly to the next round.

Van der Weken, the reigning Luxembourg Sportswoman of the Year, is considered a medal contender after winning gold at a recent World Indoor Tour Gold meeting in Madrid. She remains undefeated this season and currently ranks third in Europe with her national record time of 7.07 seconds.

The semi-finals are scheduled for 4.05pm, with the final set for 6.37pm. The event will be broadcast live on RTL ZWEE, RTL.lu, and RTL Play starting at 4pm.
