The Fédération Luxembourgeoise de Rugby (FLR) announced the appointment of James Kent as the new head coach of the senior men's XV team for the remainder of the current Rugby Europe Trophy season, showing their dedication to raising the standard of rugby in Luxembourg.

James Kent has been appointed national coach of Luxembourg’s senior men’s XV rugby team. He brings experience from roles with Monaco Rugby 7s, Stade Français, and the French Men's national team, as well as coaching stints in Canada, Spain, and more. Kent previously served as an assistant coach for the Luxembourg rugby federation and as director of rugby at Rugby Club Luxembourg.

"I am honoured to take on this position and work with such a talented group of players", Kent said. "I look forward to contributing to the growth and success of rugby in Luxembourg."

FLR President Jean-François Boulot welcomed the appointment, citing Kent's expertise and passion as key to advancing the team and "building a solid foundation for the future of rugby in Luxembourg". Meanwhile, Directeur Technique National Alexandre Benedetti will continue overseeing the national sevens teams alongside Kent for the upcoming Small Nations (GSSE) tournaments before shifting his focus to nurturing talent and expanding the sport's reach throughout the country. The hope is to build a strong pipeline of skilled players in order to grow and develop rugby's success in Luxembourg.
