Kenyan runner Mark Kangogo won the 13th edition of the ING Night Marathon on Saturday, taking only 2 hours, 12 minutes and 10 seconds to run 42 km.
Each year, the ING night marathon tops all previous records. On Saturday, around 16,000 runners came to Luxembourg City to participate in the big event.
From the team run to the children's race, and of course the full-on marathon, participants could chose from a number of races.

Winners from Kenya
As in the previous years, Kenyan runners did particularly well. The 31-year-old title-holder Edwin Kibet Kiptoo participated again this year and gave John Kipkorir Komen, winner of 2015 and 2016, a run for his money.

However, this year it was Kenyan Mark Kangogo who won the race and took home the coveted medal. He only took 2 hours, 12 minutes and 10 seconds and set a new track record by 47 seconds.
Last year's winner Edwin Kiptoo surprisingly didn't make it to the podium.
The fastest woman on the night was Ethiopian runner Lakelesh Feysa Dera, who took 2 hours, 51 minutes and 33 seconds.
The best runner from Luxembourg in the race was Frazer Alexander, who was the 9th to pass the finish line.
The fastest female from Luxembourg was Isabelle Hoffmann.

In the semi-marathon category, it was Semere Fsehatsion from Eritrea who made it across the finish line first. He took 1 hour, 11 minutes and 29 seconds. In second place, one minute and 47 seconds later, came Yannick Lieners of Luxembourg.

German runner Anna Herzberg was the fastest woman to take part in the semi-marathon. The Luxembourg athlete Liz Nepper came in second place.
