Expert commission seeks information on abuse allegations at Children’s Village Foundation

Following abuse allegations against its former director, the Luxembourg Children’s Village Foundation has launched an appeal for witnesses.

The commission’s mission is to document potential abuse cases and organisational dysfunctionalities within the foundation over the next 12 months. The appeal for witnesses was launched on Wednesday, one day before the parliamentary education committee is set to discuss the case on Thursday morning at the request of the Luxembourg Socialist Workers’ Party (LSAP).

The press release also identifies the members of the independent expert commission, four individuals with no connection to the Luxembourg Children’s Village Foundation. They are former Prosecutor General Robert Biever, who retired 11 years ago; lawyer Claudine Erpelding; psychotherapist Alain Massen, until recently also president of the National Parents’ Representation; and paediatrician Roland Seligmann.
