The Garden Sounds Festival, which was set to take place in Wiltz on 5 to 6 June in Wiltz, has been cancelled by its organiser Prabbeli Wiltz due to low ticket sales.

In a recent social media statement, the organisation shared that due to ticket sales falling below expectations, "the considerable efforts required in terms of logistics, transport, and production" could not be justified.

"The decision," the statement continues, "was made jointly and in full agreement with all the bands involved." The musical line-up included Luxembourgish mainstays Mutiny on the Bounty, Swiss synth-pop musician Barbicop, and the Irish garage punk outfit SPRINTS.

Those who have already purchased tickets will be issued a full refund which will be automatically processed through the festival's ticket office. As such, no further action is required from ticket holders according to the organisers of Garden Sounds.

The planned Family Day on 7 June will still take place with all its planned activities – including theatrical performances, magic shows, silent disco, and more.
