Riverdale – Netflix
Riverdale is a small American town “where everything is perfect, but nothing as it seems”.
Archie Andrews, who knows that his father wants him to follow into the family construction business, would rather make music and write songs. Only his best friend, Betty Cooper, who lives next door, knows about this.
Betty – who’s secretly in love with Archie – has problems with her overbearing mother who controls her every move after her sister had a mental breakdown following a breakup.
Veronica, who has just moved to town, is struggling with the fact that her father was arrested for embezzling.
And Jughead, Archie’s former best friend, starts writing a book about what happened between them and why they don’t talk anymore.
When Jason Blossom’s dead body is found, Betty and Jughead start investigating, uncovering secrets that will have profound repercussions for everyone involved.
“Archie” is the main character of the ongoing comic book series by Archie Comics. Started in 1941, the comics feature the four teenage friends and their adventures. The series was rebooted in 2015 with a new look and more contemporary and mature storylines.
“Riverdale” – the show – is part teenage drama, part mystery, sometimes horror show. Premiering in 2017 it will be airing its fifth season in 2021.
