Tram services in Luxembourg City were disrupted from early Wednesday morning due to a technical problem with the overhead contact line. The issue began near the Leschte Steiwer/Dernier Sol stop, leading to a complete suspension of the service between Luxembourg-Gare and Scillas, according to Luxtram's communications manager.

An eyewitness told RTL that trams were already halted before 6am.
As a result of the incident, tram services will only operate on two separate segments for the rest of the day: from Findel-Luxembourg Airport to Luxembourg-Gare, and from Stadion to Scillas. The section in between these stations, including the Leschte Steiwer/Dernier Sol and Lycée Bouneweg stops, will not be served.

Luxtram staff are present on site to assist passengers. Travellers are advised to plan their journeys using the mobiliteit.lu website or app and to check the luxtram.lu website for the latest service updates.
