I don’t watch a lot of new movies. That’s something that hasn’t changed.

In fact, I’ve only watched Richard Stanley’s Color Out Of Space (2019). I’ve been a fan of his for years and although not nearly as perfect as Hardware (1990) or Dust Devil (1992) I enjoyed his latest work. It’s certainly one of the better Lovecraft adaptations.

I’ve been watching a lot of very old movies though. I have these great Ingmar Bergman and Carl Theodor Dreyer boxsets and I’ve been rewatching Akira Kurosawa’s samurai epics.

I also really enjoyed a rather obscure Russian horror movie from 1967 called VIY and I believe everybody should watch (or read) William Peter Blatty’s The Ninth Configuration (1980) which is criminally underrated.

I’ve only been playing Nioh 2 (click image for trailer) for these past few weeks. It’s a very good game but also a very difficult game that will keep you occupied. I started playing Moons Of Madness (a cosmic horror walking simulator on mars) but I fell asleep playing it so I can’t say too much about it yet.

I’ve been reading and writing a lot and listening to Phil Ochs.

Stay home and watch long black and white epic historical drama films.

Stay safe!
