  • Greek health officials on Tuesday announced tighter measures for the non-vaccinated and heavier fines for non-compliance in response to a surge in coronavirus cases.

  • Ireland’s health sector is under increasing pressure as positivity rates for Covid have risen from 10.1% to 12.1% in the past week, according to the Covid data hub.
  • Dutch health minister Hugo de Jonge has warned of unavoidable new measures as cases continue to rise. He declined to reveal further details, saying decisions would be made throughout Tuesday.
  • Czech authorities reported 7,591 new Covid cases on Tuesday - the highest total of new infections registered since March, according to local radio. Around 57% of residents are fully vaccinated.
