Starting with Luxembourg:

• Luxembourg has recorded another 15 cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of infections to 3,945. The number of deaths climbed by 3 to 107.

• The Archbishop of Luxembourg Jean-Claude Hollerich accused the government of failing to respect religious rights during Sunday’s “Octave” Pontifical Mass.

• Latin America and the Caribbean have now recorded more than half a million coronavirus infections, according to an AFP tally based on official reports.

• China faces a potential second wave of coronavirus infections due to a lack of immunity among its population, its government’s senior medical advisor has warned.

• Tests on hamsters reveal the widespread use of facemasks reduces transmission of the deadly coronavirus, a team of leading experts in Hong Kong said Sunday.
