The "Marshal Power" exercise, designed to simulate combat scenarios, was temporarily disrupted when a soldier was accidentally injured by police in a public space.

The German military exercise “Marshal Power” was partly held in public areas, involving soldiers, police, and emergency services.

During the exercise, police received a report of a man carrying a weapon and responded to the scene. Authorities later stated that a misjudgment had occurred, resulting in a police officer firing at a soldier. The soldier sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital but was able to leave later that evening.

An investigation has been launched to determine the exact circumstances of the incident.

The “Marshal Power” exercise is designed to simulate combat scenarios behind a fictional frontline, training military and emergency personnel for defense situations.
