The Luxembourg Young Farmers’ Association (LLJ) will hold its annual Christmas tractor tour again this year on 26 December.

The tradition began during the Covid-19 pandemic as a way to bring festive cheer to residents of retirement homes, hospitals, and other social institutions. The event also served to thank the dedicated staff at these facilities. Participants decorated their tractors with lights and ornaments and accompanied the parade with music.

Due to its overwhelming public reception, the tour has become a recurring Christmas event.

This year’s participating chapters are:

  • LLJ Clervaux
  • LLJ Diekirch
  • LLJ Fouhren
  • LLJ Centre
  • LLJ South
  • LLJ Grevenmacher
  • LLJ Upper Sûre

The first tractors will depart at 4.30pm on 26 December.
