A yellow alert for snow will still be in effect this Sunday.
Luxembourg’s national flood warning service has issued a yellow alert, warning of a potential flood risk as water levels on the Moselle continue to fluctuate. In the latest update on Saturday morning, authorities said the current meteorological situation indicates an increased risk of flooding and are urging residents to remain vigilant and prepared for possible changes.
Water levels have risen further along the Moselle and have now reached the yellow alert threshold at the Stadtbredimus gauge, measuring 530cm. At the Remich gauge, levels stand at 452cm.
According to the latest update, water levels are expected to remain at this level throughout the morning before falling back below the yellow vigilance threshold later in the afternoon. Levels are forecast to continue declining on Sunday.
Residents in areas near the Moselle are advised to stay informed and follow updates from authorities should the situation change. The flood warning service said it will issue further updates if necessary.
