On Thursday, Statec published its annual list of the Grand Duchy’s top ten employers based on the number of employees, including a number of familiar faces.
Public transport provider, the CFL Group, comes top with 5,110 members of staff, followed by the Dussmann Group with 4,880, and the Post Group with 4,450. Amazon Luxembourg employs 4,370 people, putting the online commerce giant in fourth place, followed by Cactus supermarkets with 4,310, BNP Paribas with 3,890, PwC with 3,610, ArcelorMittal with 3,510, Goodyear with 3,390, and Cargolux with 3,200 employees respectively.
The list is created by Statec based on an annual voluntary survey conducted among businesses and groups operating in Luxembourg. Worth noting is that it does not include companies employing fewer than 90 people. In total, the survey participants are made up of 387 employers from a variety of sectors, including construction, commerce, and service activities.
