The Benjamin Franklin Transatlantic Fellowship (BFTF) – named after American statesman and diplomat Benjamin Franklin – is a four-week summer programme designed for high school students who have an interest in international affairs. Applications are now open until 18 February.
The fellowship brings together European and American students to dive into US foreign policy and transatlantic relations through lectures, seminars, and workshops. In addition to the academic programme, students will participate in community service projects, site visits, cultural activities, and homestays with American families.
Anyone aged 16 to 18 with a demonstrable interest in international relations is encouraged to apply, with the US Embassy in Luxembourg selecting one candidate to represent the Grand Duchy in the programme.
