
The orange alert will last from 3pm until 6pm on Saturday, with a yellow alert from 12pm to 3pm and 6pm to 8pm.
The municipalities of Strassen and Grevenmacher have announced the Buergbrennen events planned for 1 March and 29 February respectively, will be cancelled due to the weather conditions.

The municipiality of Steinsel, which had planned their Buergbrennen event in Heisdorf by the Steinel scouts, has also had to cancel.
Today’s Diekirch Buergbrennen has been cancelled, but the CIS Diekirch will be serving soup at the fire station on Rue de l’Industrie from 11.00 am.
Firefighters from Olm have cancelled the Buergbrennen.
The Vichten Buergbrennen has been postponed to 7 March. The same goes for the traditional music parade. The Buergbrennen in Reisdorf has been postponed to the same date.
Firefighters from Berdorf have announced that their Buergbrennen has been cancelled due to the weather conditions.
The Niederpallen table tennis club confirmed their event is also cancelled.
The Buergbrennen in Manternach has been cancelled, however there will be food and drink from 7.00 pm.
In Roullingen, the event has been postponed from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm due to the orange alert.
Bettendorf firefighters have decided to postpone the Buergbrennen to 8 March.
A number of shooting sports matches scheduled for 4 March will also be cancelled and rescheduled for a later date.
The Mullerthal tourism board has also cancelled the general assembly, due to take place on Thursday at Echternach primary school, with Minister Lex Delles. It will be rescheduled.
The Post has also suffered as a result of the snowfall, causing delays to the collection of mail from businesses, and yellow box collections. Services should be back to normal on Friday.
