The municipality of Strassen has announced that its Buergbrennen event has been cancelled. The event was due to take place on 1 March 2020.
Shooting sports matched planned for 4 March have also been cancelled.
The Mullerthal tourism association has announced that its general assembly, which was scheduled for 7.30 pm in Echternach, has been cancelled and will be rescheduled. Minister for Tourism Lex Delles was due to attend.
Post has also announced that there would be delays in its service caused by the snow. The weather has affected collections of post from professional clients as well as the collection of letters from yellow boxes throughout the country. Post wrote that the service will resume as normal once road conditions improve. So far, it appears that mail deliveries will remain on time on Friday.
There may be further cancellations as the day goes on.
