
On Wednesday afternoon, two individuals attempted to rob a passer-by on Boulevard de la Pétrusse in Luxembourg City.
According to initial reports, the suspects – both men – tried to violently snatch a chain from around the victim’s neck. However, the victim managed to hold onto the chain, prompting the attackers to flee the scene. The victim sustained minor injuries during the incident. A suspect was later apprehended as part of a police search. A report was filed on the instruction of the public prosecutor.
A second robbery occurred later that night, in the early hours of Thursday, on Rue de Hollerich in the Gare district. In this case, a man had his mobile phone snatched from his hand. Following a search, a suspect matching the victim’s description was located. The stolen phone was recovered and returned to its owner. A report was also filed in this case at the request of the public prosecutor.
