Police confirmed that a lorry struck a tram line at the intersection of Rue Johannes Kepler and Boulevard Kennedy, disrupting tram services in Kirchberg.
The collision left the junction completely blocked, and tram services between Coque and Rout Bréck (Grand Duchesse Charlotte Bridge) were temporarily suspended while crews worked to clear the scene.
