In a press release, the national lottery said it took almost a week for the jackpot winner to step forward and claim their prize.
The new multimillionaire is the third jackpot winner in Luxembourg, and had reportedly decided to gamble on their favourite numbers.. and that certainly paid off.
The director of the national lottery, Leon Loesch, says the organisation aims to preserve the identity of the winner, who understandably wants to remain anonymous.
They are not the Grand Duchy's biggest lottery winner, however - another person (pressumably!) won £31 million in 2015, while a 2013 winner took home €65 million.
So, if you've been frantically trying to find a lost lottery ticket.. you can end your search now (unless you'd be happy to settle for one of the smaller prizes, of course, in which case do keep looking).
