Euro Millions official website states a ticket worth a total sum of €28.601.720,00 was purchased in Luxembourg.
This is not the first time such a high sum was won in the Grand Duchy. In January 2015, an individual won €31 million, and another won €65 million on 27 September 2013.
In addition to the big win of five correct numbers and two stars, twelve people won more than €20,550 with the winning set of numbers and no stars.
€17 million can be won on 28 January 2020.
