The City of Luxembourg has announced an upcoming road closure due to maintenance works on the bridge junction at Rue de Trèves. The maintenance is scheduled to take place from Saturday, 7 October at 6am to Monday, 9 October at 5am.
During this period, a section of Rue de Trèves, specifically between Rue Munster and Rue de la Tour Jacob, as well as Rue du Rham, will be inaccessible to all vehicular traffic, with the exception of bicycles.
The Luxembourg City Traffic Department is taking measures to ensure minimal disruption, with appropriate signage deployed to alert road users of the closures. However, contingencies are in place to postpone the work to a later date in the event of inclement weather conditions that might potentially hinder the scheduled maintenance.
Additionally, municipal bus route 23 will be rerouted in both directions via Boulevard d’Avranches, Val de Hamm, and Rue de Trèves to accommodate the work. The usual ‘Stadgronn Bréck’ stop will be temporarily out of service, with the ‘Rumm’ stop serving as an alternative for commuters.
The City Council extends its gratitude to residents, road users, and public transport patrons for their anticipated understanding and cooperation during this necessary maintenance period.
