Restaurant and terraces with outdoor seating were already allowed to reopen last Wednesday.
As of this Friday, indoor seating is also permitted again - provided a number of precautionary measures are respected.
Tables for instance need to be at least 1.5m apart. If this physical distance is not possible, restaurant owners have to place plexiglass between tables.
Bars have to close at midnight and a maximum of four people can be seated at one table unless they are are from the same household. Indoor non-contact sports also received the green light to resume this Friday.
The same holds true for gyms. Only spa and wellness areas have to remain closed for the time being. Fitness classes can also resume but the number of participants is limited.
Another key change concerns large gatherings where visitors and guests can register in advance. More than 20 people can meet if physical distance can be guaranteed.
In other words, special events such as funerals, weddings, and protests can take place again. Cultural institutions such as cinemas, theatres, and churches can also reopen if the guidelines are implemented.
Youth hostels similarly received the green light to reopen this Friday. The “Baggerweier” outdoor swimming areas in Remerschen are also ready to welcome visitors again as of Saturday.
A maximum of 1,000 people can enter the beaches. Visitors must purchase tickets in advance, costing €7 on the Visit Moselle site, in order to enter the area. No tickets will be sold on site. Access will be free for children under the age of 11, but they will also need a special ticket.
For private gatherings, the maximum number remains six people indoors, and 20 people outdoors.
