The collision occurred near the Howald tunnel. One person sustained severe injuries and had to be airlifted to the hospital in Kirchberg. Another individual was also injured.
At 4.50pm, traffic reports showed 10 kilometres of stationary traffic up until the exit for the Cargocenter. The accident left two lanes blocked. Slowly, the speed of traffic regained once the accident cleared.
