The public prosecutor’s office announced its conclusion to its investigation of the accident, which occurred on 14 February 2017. After a long investigator, the public prosecutor’s office has decided to submit a plea of dismissal.
In the press release, the legal authority wrote that there is no evidence indicating the existence of any infractions. There were, however, technical errors that meant the conductor was not notified that he’d driven through a stop signal. It remains unclear what caused the technical mistake.
The public prosecutor’s office also dismissed the option of blaming the CFL for the fatal accident.
