
Three days after the tragic attacks in Israel, which resulted in hundreds of casualties, Luxembourg is showing its support.
The Jewish Consistory of Luxembourg has called for a gathering at Place Clairefontaine at 6.30 pm yesterday. This demonstration was an “expression of solidarity with Israel and the Israeli people who have been deeply affected by the acts of terrorism from Hamas”.
“There is unequivocally no justification for Hamas’ actions there,” remarked the Luxembourg Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jean Asselborn, during his earlier statement on RTL regarding the Hamas offensive in Israel.
On Tuesday evening, Josep Borrell, Vice President of the European Commission, stated that the vast majority of the 27 EU member states oppose suspending aid to the Palestinians, and the EU is against the blockade of Gaza.
Israel announced on Tuesday that it had partially regained control of its border with the Gaza Strip, following a four-day war with the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas, which had a devastating toll.
The attackers who stormed a festival on Saturday caused the deaths of 250 individuals. Additionally, “more than 100 people” were killed in the Beeri kibbutz alone, as reported by the NGO Zaka, which assisted in recovering the bodies.”
