
A serious accident occurred shortly after 2.30am in the Grouft tunnel on the A7 motorway heading towards Luxembourg City, involving a lorry and a car. Emergency services report that the car overturned during the collision, leaving the driver injured. Firefighters from Steinsel and Lintgen responded to the scene, supported by an ambulance from Luxembourg City and the emergency medical service (SAMU).
Later on Sunday evening, firefighters from Frisange were called to extinguish a burning rubbish bin on Rue de Luxembourg in Frisange at around 6pm.
At approximately the same time, a hedge caught fire on Rue des Vignes in Lenningen. Firefighters from Canach dealt with the incident.
Shortly after, at 6.40pm, another rubbish bin caught fire on Avenue de la Gare in Esch-sur-Alzette, with firefighters from Kayl attending the scene.
At 6.45pm, two vehicles collided on Route du Vin in Remich. Although no one was injured, firefighters and an ambulance from Remich were dispatched as a precaution.
Shortly before 8pm, firefighters from Hobscheid and Tuntange responded to a vegetation fire between Septfontaines and Ehner.
After midnight, another bin fire broke out on Rue Mathias Hardt in Luxembourg City, which was swiftly extinguished by local firefighters.
