The Grand Ducal Police have issued another warning for fraudulent text messages that invite recipients to visit Guichet.lu.

Tax refunds, warning messages, payment requests: According to the authorities, scam messages of this nature have claimed three new victims over the last few days and “important sums of money have been debited” from the accounts of the people concerned.

The latest fraudulent text messages tell the recipient they are entitled to a tax refund. The police advises recipients of such messages to not click on the link and not to give out any personal information.

It is important to remember that Guichet never communicates by SMS and receiving messages of this kind is a scam.
