At 12.50am on Monday morning, police received reports of a car travelling on the wrong side of the A4 motorway towards Hollerich, near the Bouillon exit.
A patrol car stopped the vehicle shortly afterwards and performed a breathalyser check on the driver, who was visibly intoxicated. She was issued with a driving ban and a formal write-up.
The police said no one was hurt during the incident.
