Police officers in Esch-sur-Alzette carried out two drug busts on Monday night.

The first incident occurred at 11pm, as police officers noticed a motorist driving the wrong way up Rue Remparts. The officers stopped and searched him, concluding he was under the influence of drugs.

During the course of the search, it transpired he had 6.6 grams of hashish on him. He then went to the hospital for a blood and urine test and was finally fined for possession of drugs and driving under the influence of drugs.

Barely two hours later, police officers discovered two individuals taking drugs in a shopping centre car park in Esch-Lallange. The officers searched the car, noting the scent of marijuana. The police then seized a half-smoked joint alongside hashish and marijuana. The police found further hashish on the person of the passenger. The drugs were seized and both individuals were fined.
