EducationOver 150 children homeschooled in Luxembourg

RTL Today
A report by weekly paper Lëtzebuerger Land has found that 157 children, including 48 of secondary school age, are currently homeschooled in the Grand Duchy.

Homeschooling has experienced a mild uptick in popularity in the Grand Duchy over the last few years, although numbers are still low. In Luxembourg, it is relatively simple to take children out of traditional education structures in favour of homeschooling.

However, once a proposed law on raising the compulsory schooling age comes into force, homeschooling policies are likely to be revised. This could see homeschooling parents required to present an educational plan to authorities.
