The shopping platform corona.letzshop.lu, launched last week and aimed at the vulnerable, has compiled its first report. More than 1,000 orders have been placed in just five days.

The online shop corona.letzshop.lu is aimed at those considered at risk, such as the over-65s, diabetics, and patients with cardiovascular or auto-immune diseases. Deliveries take place within 72 hours of ordering.

The website offers a variety of food and grocery products such as pasta, rice, coffee, jam and also various hygiene items. It is also possible to order a box of fruit or vegetables.

The Minister for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, Lex Delles, confirmed on Twitter that the platform has been a success. The most popular products are milk, tuna and pasta.

For people who cannot access the website, orders can also be placed by phone on 8002 92 92.
