Public radio station 100.7 announced that the Christian Schleck affair has continued to unsettle the army union as nine new resignations were reported on Thursday.
The Secretary General of the Professional Union of the Army (SPAL) also resigned Thursday after the request for the withdrawal of General Alain Duschene from the union of the armed forces. They were not informed of the news and wished to express the lack of confidence in their president Christian Schleck.
The union has criticised the general for limiting trade union freedoms. Christian Schleck had been transferred to another post.

Honorary president of the SPAL, Patrick Frantz, spoke on the radio, saying that a press conference would be held next weekto supply further details.
