The adaption to the Worldwide Harmonized Light Duty Test Procedure (WLTP) norm will take effect at the beginning of next year. Every car registered before 1 January 2021 stays under the previous norm.
The chamber's mobility commission found an agreement on Thursday morning, as announced on their website. The new taxation method was initially planned for 1 March 2020, but needed to be revised after some technical issues had occurred.
An amendment was passed by CSV raising the maximum limit of the government's financial benefits for families from 80 to 125 euros.
