The Makerfest is designed for children aged eight and up, offering a number of workshops to encourage them to explore their creativity. From arts and crafts to technology, media, or coding, there is something for everyone to learn something new and have fun while doing so.
With over 35 workshops, the Makerfest brings together representatives from the National Youth Service (SNJ), the Chamber of Trades, Hariko, Videogames asbl, Bee Secure, and several secondary schools.
This year’s edition of the Makerfest was spread over three days. Last Saturday, the Forum Geesseknäppchen opened to the general public. On Monday and Tuesday, attendees include school pupils, children from Maison relais childcare facilities, and youth clubs. In 2025, the Makerfest drew around 1,600 visitors.
