Luxembourg police reported a series of burglaries and attempted break-ins on Friday afternoon and evening.
On Glacis, passersby intervened when a suspect attempted to break into a caravan Friday afternoon. They detained the individual until officers arrived, leading to an arrest on orders from the public prosecutor’s office.
Meanwhile, in Bettembourg, an unidentified group broke into a residence on Rue Fernand Mertens. The burglars gained entry through a terrace door before ransacking multiple rooms.
Later that evening, another break-in occurred in Roodt-sur-Syre, where intruders smashed a window to access a house on Route de Luxembourg.
Authorities have opened investigations into both incidents.
