Poor visibility contributed to a serious pile-up on the A13 near Bettembourg Wednesday morning, which began with a single vehicle losing control and crashing into barriers before other cars collided.

A serious multi-vehicle accident occurred on the A13 motorway near Bettembourg on Wednesday morning at approximately 7.15am, resulting in at least one severely injured driver.

According to initial reports, the incident began when a driver travelling towards Germany lost control and collided with crash barriers. In conditions of poor visibility, a second vehicle subsequently crashed into the first, causing severe injuries to the initial driver.

The collision triggered an additional pile-up involving several other cars. While this secondary incident resulted in material damage, no further injuries were reported.
