A 30-year-old motorcyclist lost his life on Monday afternoon after crashing on the Route de Trèves in Senningerberg.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 1.30pm following reports of a crash in a bend. Despite immediate intervention by rescue teams on the spot, the 30-year-old rider did not survive his injuries.
The severity of the impact required the temporary closure of the road to allow emergency crews to work and secure the area. Motorists were diverted around the area for the duration of the operations.
Investigators have carried out initial findings and an accident report has been drawn up. The exact circumstances of the crash have yet to be established and remain the subject of an ongoing investigation.
