Only days after a technical error at Beggen's water treatment plant caused pollution in the Alzette river and killed fish all the way to Mersch, another technical problem had the same consequences between Livange and Peppange.

This time, the reason behind the pollution and the death of countless fish was a technical problem at the new collecting basin in Bettembourg. 600 cubic meters of wastewater flowed into the river.

According to the official press release, the incident took place Tuesday evening between 6 and 7 pm.
