Saarland and Rhineland-PalatinateLuxembourgers must still present negative test results or undergo quarantine in some cases

The Luxembourg Foreign Ministry confirmed that people who have been in the Grand Duchy within the 14-day period leading up to 20 August still need to present negative test results or undergo mandatory quarantine measures.

The Robert Koch Institute announced on Thursday that Luxembourg would no longer be considered an at-risk country.

The official website also underlines that people who have been to the Grand Duchy in the 14-day period leading up to the lift need negative results before entering Germany or have to expect to undergo quarantine measures.

This rule is in place for both our neighbouring states Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate. German officials apologised for the confusing phrasing of their initial statement of Thursday.
