
On Wednesday, the Luxembourg Veterinary and Food Administration (ALVA) confirmed 86 new cases of the disease, detected over the past week. Laboratory tests revealed that the outbreak has now reached 18 additional farms, bringing the total number of affected farms to 474.
In total, 1,313 animals have been infected, including 1,067 cattle, 141 sheep, eight goats, and two alpacas.
Livestock owners noticing higher death rates are encouraged to report them using an official form provided by ALVA.
Vaccines remain available to combat the disease. Of the 240,000 doses ordered, approximately 96,500 have been distributed to veterinarians so far.
