Never before has global life expectancy been higher than now, which makes it more challenging for countries to develop sustainable retirement systems.
Allianz has released its Global Pension Report, which compares and evaluates the retirement systems of 70 different countries according to their long-term feasibility. Sweden ranked first, while Belgium took the second place and Denmark the third. New Zealand, the US, Australia, the Netherlands, and Norway were all ranked above Luxembourg, while our German and French neighbours were classified as 26th and 51st respectively.
The ranking's final spots were allocated to Libanon, the United Arab Emirates, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
