The ongoing tram construction has pushed the capital to reorganise bus routes in and around the Gare district. The biggest deviation will affect buses which will no longer pass through the Adolphe Bridge (except for line 19).

Buses will now connect the city centre and the station district via Avenue de la Gare and Viaduc, where a number of lanes have reopened following construction works. The Viaduc will become bidirectional to allow buses to pass through, although the cycle paths are not yet complete.

These changes, as well as the new Roosevelt bus stop on Boulevard Roosevelt, will result in the removal of bus stops situated on Avenue de la Liberté between the Gare and the city centre. Lines 13, 14, 19 and 23 will still stop on Avenue de la Gare.

To counter the reduced bus service in the area, a new City Shuttle bus will run between the station and the Adolphe Bridge every 20 minutes.

The rear of the station has also been subjected to changes, with three new bus platforms added to increase connections to the city centre and Kirchberg, notably the RGTR bus lines 144, 172, 192, 194, 195, 197 and 300.
